"CLOAK" PAGES

In my previous blog-post I told about "shadow domain" and also said "This type of sites called 'cloaked' site" . Some aggressive marketers generate thousands of cloaked pages ("phantom pages") highly tuned for the search engines.

Cloak pages display Web page content differently to search engine spiders than to humans in order to achieve higher rankings in search engine results.
It's a page with more keywords on a subject(according to the web page or the content of the page) tend to rank higher than those with fewer keywords, but excessive repetition of a word makes the Web page look unskilled.

JavaScript and AJAX code are widely used to hide extra text when they detect a user, beside it allow the repetitive text to appear for a search engine spider. In recent days the advance cloaking is known as "IP Delivery" this redirect the visitors to the appropriate Web page based on IP address, this IP is the domain name which we are using to find a website.

According to the search engine guidelines any type of cloaking is bad, are there cases where cloaking might be legitimate. Cloaking is often considered a Black Hat technique, because it tries to trick search engines into giving the site a higher ranking than it normally should. Actually this subject is very controversial and SEO experts continue to debate about when cloaking might be acceptable and when it is not. It's depends on those who already used this and had the results whatever it's bad or good.
At last I say that any type of technique which is called or related to the Black Hat technique shouldn't use for SEO, may it gives us better result but always we have to try so called White Hat technique.

"SHADOW DOMAIN"

Many of us heard about this type of domain. Shadow domain is a web site set up for search engine spiders rather than humans. Shadow domains are indexed by the search engines just like all other sites on the Web, except the shadow domain is not for human visitors and the content of the shadow domain would look like gibberish. This pages are loaded with extra keywords that make the page look like top-notch content to the spider and help rank the page higher in the search results. This type of sites called "cloaked" site, the pages are known as "phantom pages."

In highly competitive areas the technique is used. It drives traffic to the targeted domain, and invisible to the end users but rarely caught. Shadow domain redirect human visitors to the **main domain for which the shadow domain had created.

The key here is not javascript as I know. The domain owner set up the shadow on their own server and use the script to redirect, this is invisible to the human.

Actually the key to a good shadow domain is the ability to redirect a human to the real Web page upon arriving on the phantom page, beside it the more interesting thing is, it lets the search engine spiders to scan the page. Is not it so interesting?

USING COPY IN LANDING PAGE

To create a high-converting landing page is in regards to how much copy we would use?

Ok, at first we consider what is or are our prospects and how much we need to say about our product and services. According to my thought we can use AIDA formula.
First we should capture the attention of the visitors and make the interest for our product and services then grow desire, and call for action.

At first we may have some questions:

  • Why do I need your product?
  • Why should I wait for it?
  • Why should I pay more for your product?
  • Is it still effective (suppose, I don't trust natural products)?
If you're selling a complicated product people may not even know they have need for.
The visitors or the customer wonders whether, "Is it worth the investment," "Do I (customer) really need it to get results?" and so on.

So, Simply put, don't be afraid of using long copy. Aim to say what needs to be said to move to the next step, just it. If you have some doubt then simply use website optimizer.
